basics Quest 1
In this quest we practiced taking screen shots and using jing. The upper image is the picture I took using jing and I was able to make it the exact size I wanted. The lower image is the screen shot image I took of the screen.
basics quest 5
In this quest we summarized our districts AUP using three key points that are important to remember when using the districts computer network. We did this by using bubbl.us to make a graphic organizer (as u can see to the right).
basic quest 7
For basic quest 7 we learned useful short cuts and got familiar with them by teaching them to two classmates of our choice. Below you can see my report after teaching Gavin and Brad some short cuts.
I taught Brad how to select text quickly by double and triple clicking on text. He thought it was a very cool and said he would use it in the future. I also taught Brad how to undo what he just did by pressing control z and he thought it was also a good short cut. Lastly I taught Brad how open the Save As window action short cut by using F12; he said he would use this in the future.
First I taught Gavin how to make an equal sign all the way across the screen by putting three equals in a row and then pressing enter. Gavin thought this was cool but didn’t know what to use it for. Secondly I taught Gavin how to print his document fast by using control p; Gavin said that it was a useful shortcut. Lastly I taught Gavin the short cut for italics by pressing control I; he said this would be useful for typing a characters thought in a story.
